Do you mean 1890`s? A 1980`s one would be one of Steve Dickinson`s, wouldn`t it? By the way, what auction site did you see this at?

I reckon this is the only way to buy a decent instrument at least you can try it out before paying a considerable sum which on ebay could disapear into the ether.Bye the Bye having moved on from the melodeon my single row is up for sale (commission to concertina.net of course) if anyone has intresested melodeon friends :one row 1980s hohner 4 stops in do/C VGC.
buikligger Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Interesting design: Pinhole fretwork in metal ends and only 40 ish buttons. hello all, it seems to have 37 buttons (19+18). Could it have a Treble range, from G below middle C to D(d3). ? Dirk

s2maur Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Wow!! What a listing of early stringed instruments! I don't think that the Western Hemisphere offers this variety and quantity of antique instruments in its auction houses. If so, it wouldn't be with much frequency. Thanks for the heads up. I enjoyed viewing almost every instrument offered. It was just what I needed to occupy myself during a brutally cold and icy winter day in the upper mid section of the U.S. Now, back to my book and tea and maybe a little practicing on the anglo. Steve
