For Sale - Rochelle 30 Button Anglo Concertina

This concertina is a 30 button (C/G) Anglo in very good condition and is about fifteen months old. I have been using it to learn how to play the 30 button Anglo, and I am selling it only because I have bought myself a Marcus concertina recently. I have been very pleased with the Rochelle as a reliable learner instrument which the makers also regard as capable of progressing further. It has been handled with care and only used by myself. More recently I have been playing it occasionally at a concertina group and a local folk group, and to me the sound it produces is quite pleasant. The concertina comes with the maker's tutor book and a soft gig bag.

 

The Rochelle is made by Concertina Connection (Wim Wakker), who state that "we made all the important features, such as the keyboard layout, spacing of the keys, key diameter, key travel, number of bellows folds, type of hand straps etc, identical to traditional anglo concertinas, to ensure a smooth transition to a higher class concertina later on".

 

The specifications of this Anglo concertina are as follows :

 

* black (gloss) body, straps and bellows, and white keys

* 30 keys, in C/G tuning

* standard Wheatstone/Lachenal keyboard layout, spacing, key diameter and key travel

* 7 fold bellows

* traditional hand straps

* accordion-type steel reeds

* soft bag

 

It was originally purchased from The Music Room (Cleckheaton) and the current retail sale price when new would be £270.

 

My Sale Price to a good home = £180.
