ben
Can some help me to understand the Wheatstone ledger codes assigned to the different concertinas eg 1) what is 4A, 7A...I know it relates to concertina models - can someone list the different models and the code assigned to them; 2) What is "C.P." - is it Chrome plated? What is N.P - is it Nickel plated? Any advice would be appreciated because Sid Watkins did not leave an explanation.. Stephen Chambers
Can some help me to understand the Wheatstone ledger codes assigned to the different concertinas This link will answer many of your questions: http://www.concertina.com/pricelists/wheat...t-Eng-c1915.pdf The answers to most (but not all) of the ledger model codes are indeed in the price lists, but they did change over the years and since he mentions Sid Watkins - the last Wheatstone employee, who Steve Dickinson learnt from (and he's PM'd me about it ), it seems that Ben is looking for post-war Anglo codes at the moment, in which case he will find these lists more helpful: http://www.concertina.com/pricelists/wheatstone-duet/Wh-Pricelist-All-c1947.pdf http://www.concertina.com/pricelists/wheatstone-duet/Wh-Pricelist-All-c1956.pdf http://www.concertina.com/pricelists/wheatstone-duet/Wh-Pricelist-All-c1965.pdf
ben
Stephen and Peter, You are both scholars and gentlemen! I appreciate your help. (My interest is mainly in anglo's - I have never tried any other system as yet - hopefully I can try an English or a Duet concertina one day.)
