Dirge Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 There's a Lach English with what looks like what I know these days to be called a Jeffries 'jug' case here I expect I've got this wrong and I'm about to be told that Lach often put their cheaper models in leather cases, but I though I'd mention it as it might be a chance for someone to get the right case for their fancy 'box...
Stephen Chambers Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 There's a Lach English with what looks like what I know these days to be called a Jeffries 'jug' case here It does look kind-of like a Jeffries case, but the Anglos were always a very snug fit in those (and they're smaller than a Lachenal), and that one looks enormous. In fact my suspicion is that it might once have been a leather outer case to protect a regular wooden one - such things do/did exist.

Robin Harrison Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 I expect I've got this wrong and I'm about to be told that Lach often put their cheaper models in leather cases I don't know either, but here's a good quality Salvation Army Lach ; a really nice Ab/Eb in a very nice jug case (just needs re-stiching).
