From time to time I meet concertina players with distinctive harmonic playing styles. I’ve put a few samples of their music up on the web on my Players Profiles page along with a short bio.

The latest musician is English concertina player, Mark Gilston from Austin, Texas, USA.

 

I had the pleasure of meeting and playing with Mark at the Palestine Old-Time and Dulcimer Festival in Palestine, Texas. His harmonic style and ease on the English concertina is truly impressive.

 

Included on my site are three full length selections (used with permission) from his CDs. All solo Swedish fiddle tunes played on EC.
