Bob Norris Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 (edited) Hello my friends, A brief history, I play bagpipes and also small pipes. The pipes are in the key of A. I rented a G/D anglo from the button box (Great people!!) Anywho, I have been learning tunes using the D row (Closest to me??) Really having a blast. So I bought this 30 key from a forumite and its supposed to be a G/C however using the first row of buttons closest to me it tunes perfectly and plays perfectly with our pipes. I can even play the same tunes I learned on the 20 key G/d. I use all the same buttons. Anyone care to try and explain this to an old bagpiper how this can be? Im really loving this 30 key, could it be a G/d? Love ya EDITED, I just played the buttons on the first row of both (Son played one) and they are exactly the same,,, could it be?? A 30 button G/D Anglo?? Edited April 3, 2008 by Bob Norris

The fellow that sold it to me said it was a G/C but aparently not. Anthing else I can check to determine if it is in fact a G/D?

Check the other row on the 20-button against the middle row on the 30-button. They should also match. I'd be very surprised if they don't.

If it looks like poop, smells like poop, it must be poop (You would have had to been around in the 70's to get that one) Thanks Jimbo! Edited April 4, 2008 by Bob Norris
