meltzer
It's my birthday on 9 April if anyone's feeling generous. I'll come round your house and do the washing up for a week and everything.* * Although if you live outside the UK, I'd be wanting my travelling expenses. d.elliott
I still have this concertina in Sheffield, If anyone wants to email me with any of the more detailed questions, then feel free, or go through this sites messaging service. This is a NICE box! with a lower range more like and English System Bass. Dave E

Dave, does this mean chambers? Greg Greg, yes Chambers and sprung valves, not unlike the English System baritone, but this goes down to a Bb1, or 58.27Hz, if you prefer. I suspect that you may be thinking that some of the 'English System G', and lower notes of the 'C' Basses have integral or under-slung pipes, but this is a double acting instrument so being double acting there is not the room. (a single acting Anglo??, you would need two and a very good friend to duet with). On all Anglo Baritones there is the usual trade off between reed size, responsiveness and size=weight. This instrument manages this trade-off quite well. I have taken some photos of the chambers and reed assemblies, which I shall post once my errant tean age daughter returns the DDC (Dad's Digital Camera!) Any other information needed anyone? I am sure that Patrick the owner, won't mind before it goes to a new home somewhere, even as an English player, I shall still be sorry to see it go. You mnay have to come and see me for an interview! Sorry Patrick Dave
