I would be grateful if anyone has an old interesting and pretty English System Concertina that they could send me an end on photo of it.

It can be wooden or metal ended. It can be a treble, baritone or base, but must be pretty.

This will be used on English International front cover.

Many thanks

Thanks once again to all of you who have sent me photos. They have all been passed to Graham who will choose the one he likes.

[thread drift on] While we're on the subject of photos, over the years many have asked if we would ever get a c.net T-shirt or mug with an English or two on there (or some duets for that matter). Paul said at the time none of the photos volunteered were of sufficient resolution. Since digital cameras are so much better, it may be time to revisit this issue. I'm not asking for submissions right now (my in box runneth over), but if some of you prod me we can look at finally doing this. [thread drift off]

I now have a good selection that I could send you without the names of the owners. If you like any of them I can ask permission for you to use it. Let me know Ken and I will send them off to you.

It is a strange thing that I for one enjoy looking at concertina photos, but apart from the tiny little examples on members avatars there are no examples here.It would be rather nice to see all the different examples or am I in the minority?

cnet has an anglo photo gallery here:

http://www.concertina.net/photos1.html

Quite nice and a good reference tool.

Perhaps a similar one for english and duet might be compiled? (Why do I suddenly, in a blinding flash, have this mental image of Ken Coles holding his beleaguered head with both hands?)

Howdy:

Has anyone (aside from meself) thought about asking Wim Wakker for permission to use one of his gorgeous images that are posted on his site under the "Recently Restored" and "Vintage Concertina" categories at.....

http://www.concertinaconnection.com/

for either the CD cover or a shirt or any other artifact?

I'd love to see this one on a well designed shirt or cup or anything!!!!

Here's a better look at my avatar (click for very large size):
