Ivan Viehoff
But don't tell anyone what it's called if you are playing Irish on it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_and_Tans

Here in Alabama it refers to a hound dog.
spindizzy
But don't tell anyone what it's called if you are playing Irish on it.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_and_Tans That was my first thought, and my second thought was half/half guiness and beer from other bits on wikpedia.... * Black and Tans, a British paramilitary force in the Irish War of Independence * Black and Tan, a beer mix of stout and ale, named for the paramilitary group. * Black & Tan, a controversial flavor of Ben & Jerry's ice cream launched in March 2006, named for the drink. * Black and Tan Coonhound, a breed of dog * Black and Tan Fantasy, a short film directed by Dudley Murphy that features Duke Ellington and His Orchestra * Black and Tan War, an alternative name for the Anglo-Irish War or Irish War of Independence * Black & Tan, a fictional movie created by the cartoon character Gandhi in Clone High * Come Out Ye Black and Tans, an Irish rebel song by Dominic Behan
meltzer
But don't tell anyone what it's called if you are playing Irish on it.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_and_Tans Just imagining an earnest American 'tina player visiting the land of his fathers for the first time. Tentatively, he sits down on the edge of a session, and begins to play quietly (unlikely I know, but stick with me on this one). After a while, he comes to the attention of one of the regulars. "Lovely wee box," he says, "What is it?"

asdormire
* Black and Tan Coonhound, a breed of dog Jesus, it doesn't get any better, does it? I don't know, we always had Redbones and Blueticks growing up, at least for coonhunting. The herd dogs were always a much larger variety of types. I also know that the British mouse fancy has a black and tan variety appointed the same as the coonhound breed. Kind of miss having the hounds, but with no where to hunt there is no reason to have them. Nice box by the way, Bob. Alan
