I don't (yet) do videos, but I know that in an audio editor it's trivial to snip off the first and last little bits. Peter, I'm sure that you (or I, or Danny) could do that in a video-file editor, too.

I've done a fair bit of video editing and I can assure you that's it's no harder to trim and discard bits of video than it is to do the same with an audio file and needs nothing more sophisticated than the simplest bit of free software.
