It's back on EBAY I am sorry it took so long some people got real mad thinking I sold off ebay

I went into it befor I knew what I was doing or what I had

now thinking I had it all together ( NOT ) I found out the escrow service I listed may be a scam

I changed it to the best of my knowlage an honest service ESCROW.COM Has anyone used it let me know

'This vintage Wheatstone is in the finest condition you can find'. By your own admission it has sticking notes and needs tuning. It also needs a good clean and polish. (I would also dispute whether the word vintage applies to a 1950's Wheatstone.)

 

I know. 'They all do it'. That's why I'm having a go I suppose, because 'they' grind me down with unjustified superlatives, ("Ooh I've never seen a concertina with 20 buttons before so I'll call it UNIQUE")

 

I'm sure you are right in that it does look very sound and it'll be a fine instrument with a gentle fix-up. Why over-egg it?

The term "unisonoric" has been around for many years and I have taken it to mean same note on push and pull based on hearing it all those years. There may be better/different terms, but that's all I know. If a debate on this emerges I'd suggest a new thread. Back to the auction.

 

I used escrow.com to buy a concertina from South Africa about 6 years ago and it worked well (if slow).

The term "unisonoric" has been around for many years and I have taken it to mean same note on push and pull based on hearing it all those years. There may be better/different terms, but that's all I know.

It used to be that the terms "chromatic" and "diatonic" were commonly used in English to differentiate between instruments that play the same note on press and draw, or a different note, but that can get confusing. "Unisonor" and "bisonor" are the German terms and clearer in meaning, but it's only in the past decade that I've heard them anglicised as "unisonoric" and "bisonoric".

Dictionary.com doesn't seem to recognize either as a word, but as Ken indicates, the terms "unisonoric" (for same note on both push and pull) and "bisonoric" (for different notes on push and pull) have been in standard use at least on Concertina.net for some years now. A quick Google indicates that they're also terms in use among both bandoneon and accordion aficionados. "Unisonic", on the other hand, seems to appear only as a brand name in the first 100 Google hits.

thanks for not over egging me but what qualifies vintage maybe it should say classic .The Wheatstone ledgers give

every numbered concertina a uniqe and special place in history.

when I was talking about condition It was refering to apperance and then explaning it needs a tune up because it has not been played in 45 years I am not going to touch it in fear of messing something up.

It looks like scams have been perpetrated claiming that SafeFunds was being used, when it wasn't. However, the problem on your eBay page is that the link https://safefunds.com is incorrect, it should be http://safefunds.com/

Stephen thank you for finding the problem with safefunds I had set up an account with them and somehow that "s" got on my saved

favorites list I paniced when it appered to be gone and changed it to escrow .com I would prefer safefunds its a $25.00 flat fee
