The George Session - December 2007.

I have it on good authority that the Dragon is seen many times in Horsham Sussex and lives in Ashdown Forest.

The fact that the Horsham Dragon has a man inside and collects money for charity through a sliding device in it's mouth and into a container in it's stomach can be ignored. I have been in this Dragon's outfit a number of times and when the young children get over their initial fear I have been beaten black and blue.

The George Sessions started the GIGCB band, apart from me there are two other band members present in the session featured here.If you want to hear four free tracks from CDs 1&2 ,You should all enjoy the fiddle tunes. I come in on the second tune. Google GIGCB

Will someone please tell me the names of the tunes that they are playing.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for your comment.

I asked the question of Alan Day; if he can find out, he'll post here. Otherwise, we are open to offers.

Regards,

Peter.

I am working on it ,but some of the tunes are not named very little of this French Traditional music was written down and Mel Stevens (seen on the George recordings playing French Bagpipes) decided to put them to paper and eventually produced Massif Books 1 & 2 which at that time were the only books ,even in France, that recorded their tunes

I've found the music to the second of these tunes :)

Written in F, I've transposed it (at the press of a button!) into G, the key in which it is played on this recording.
