I tried uploading a midi with a posting, but was told it was not a legal file type. The size was easily small enough. I saved it in .zip format to see if I could circumvent that. No error msg, but it also didn't upload. (This is judging from the preview alone; having been burned on the .mid, I didn't actually click on the post button.)

So, what are the illegal formats, (or, if shorter, legal formats) for attachments to postings?

I took a look behind the curtain, and all I see there is a list of allowed image types for posts (gif, jpeg, etc.). I'll ask Paul about this, as I don't know if it is entirely up to us what files are added, or if the software only deals with images. Has anyone loaded any other file type with a post?

Somewhere on this site I saw where TablEdit was software that you could use to convert standard notation to ABC. Thats how I was able to post my tune in the Tune-O-Tron.
