Firstly I must thank all involved with the production of PICA volume 4. I have just spent a few hours reading just part of the information and articles it contains.

Written and researched by Randall Merris, Stephen Chambers and Dan Worrall and all edited by Allan Atlas

The amount of time and effort to compile these articles must be staggering. It would be wrong of me to single out any, but as I am currently compiling information on Concertina Bands then of course Stephen Chambers article on this subject I found very interesting.

The Communications section at the back features a comment by Goran Rahm and a further one in reply from Les Branchett. I am not getting involved with this argument which involves the possible use of Anglos pre First World War and a switch to English/Duets (Triumph ) soon after, in the Salvation Army.

This is a coincedence as only yesterday I received copies of two wonderful photos of The Ashton Under Lyne Prize Concertina band, a recording of which will be on English International. Imagine my shock at this late stage to pick up the early photograph (pre War) where all the players are clearly playing Anglos.
