Ken_Coles Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 A scan of a Lachenal label, a project suggested months ago and done for us by spindizzy and tallship, is now on the Museum page, along with lots of other good stuff.

Pete Dunk Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Er, I thought it said Lachenal Label Scam! Sorry for this post... Now I'm all intrigued and wondering what your original post said.

This is a good picture, I have them for Lachenal, Louis Lachenal, Wheatstone: Contuit St; Charing X; His Magesty, Her Majesty etc etc. I am still looking for a realy good photo/ Scan of a Rock Chidley Label............? Dave
Pete Dunk Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 I don't know that it's a really good one Dave but I'm sure I have a file somewhere that's waiting for a lot of retouching. I'll email it to you if you fancy spending a good few hours with Photoshop cleaning it up....
rob_mcsweeney Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Wouldn't have one for a Geo. Case, by any chance ? regards, rob
Stig Bubblecard Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 Did you ever find a Rock Chidley label scan? Dave
Pete Dunk Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Yes but it was so grainy and of such poor quality that it was beyond redemption I'm afraid. Some friends of mine are going to the Horniman Museum in the near future. I'll ask them if they can get any good shots. Pete. aka 'tallship'
Stig Bubblecard Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Thanks Pete - I won't hold my breath on that one! Dave
Pete Dunk Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 I got to the Horniman myself in the end but the instruments we got to see close up were limited to eight and none were by Rock Chidley. I got quite a good shot of a George Jones label but there's every chance that nobody will be interested in it!

Hi Pete! did you see the t-shirt I got with your Lachenal label? and in that thread we worked on an old Wheatstone label too. I could process that George Jones label if you wish Sean
Pete Dunk Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Did you ever find a Rock Chidley label scan? Dave No, but today I made this reproduction label which is pretty close but not good enough by far to be a forgery!
SeanD Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Nice t-shirt Sean. I've sent a PM about labels. Hi Pete! Saw your PM, will look at those! Sean

Not Found The requested URL /museum.html was not found on this server. That post was from 2007. Much of the non-forum area of concertina.net was taken down years ago because of scammers.
Ken_Coles Posted January 7, 2018 Author Posted January 7, 2018 It's still on the server somewhere, just not with that address. If I can find my password for the server I'll check for it. Ken
