JimNewGuy Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 OK, I saw an ad for a MIDI concertina. As near as I can figure out, the outside is the same, but the inside is electronic. I know Yamaha has done just wonderful thing in the realm of electronic pianos. Are electronic concertinas becoming popular at all? And how does an electric concertina deal with the subtle changes of sound that the bellows and air control buttons give the original concertinas? I am here to tell you, an electric concertina speaks to the hitech geek in me.

Chris Timson Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 If you search on MIDI concertina you should quickly encounter some of the many threads on the topic. You have a choice of two types: purpose built from Wim Wakker or conversion from Roy Whiteley. Both have their advocates, as you will see from the search. I own one of the latter and I think it's great. Chris
