Have Rochelle Looking To Step Up, Suggestions?

Hi all,

I have a Rochelle now, and am looking to upgrade. At present, I have the rochelle and @ $400. Can any one suggest the best next move? A stagi? Keep saving and trade in the rochelle (morse/ waker)? Sell the rochelle and buy something?

 

And advice appreciated.

My initial thought is to keep saving, even though I know that is the hardest thing to do when you want something now.

From my experience I'd say stick to the Rochelle until you're ready to make a significant step up to one of the mid-range instruments - either new or a vintage instrument.

 

If possible you should try to try a few different makes & then if it's a new box you're after find out what the waiting list is like. I've recently got my new Norman Anglo which is absolutely amazing, but I had to wait 14 months for it although it was made to my exact requirements - so if you find a make you like it may be a case of putting in the order and then saving up until it is ready.
