Alan Day
I have recently joined my Old School Old Pupils Association who have a site on Yahoo. I had to sign on to Yahoo for the privilage. On investigating other sites one came up for the Concertina. Most of the sites have a Regulator who make sure you are a fit and proper person to become a member. My application for my Old School was accepted with open arms.I was refused by the Concertina Club. Not to worry most of my friends are here. Al

asdormire
I didn't realize that concertina playing was such an exclusive thing. Waiting to be black balled now. Alan
Paul Schwartz
Send me $10 and I'll be glad to offer you the opportunity to be refused entry into Concertina.net For $20 I'll ban you outright... or worse... I'm flexible. Paul

Mikefule
You don't know what black balled is until you've ridden a unicycle. Remember what Groucho Marx said about clubs.
John Pearse
You don't know what black balled is until you've ridden a unicycle. What a fine idea (he said, departing completely from the subject). I used to be able to ride a unicycle (it's somewhere in my garage). And I can almost play the concertina (and it's a Maccann). So, . . . if can get the two together I might claim be in a set of one on this planet . . . . . . . unless there are any other claiments? Concertina is no good as a Club Jim it opens up in the air and hits the wrong person. John Adey
Remember what Groucho Marx said about clubs. I've come to the conclusion that Groucho got it wrong. What he should have said was, 'Who'd want to belong to a club that wouldn't have me as a member'. It seems to apply here. John
chris
Hi It could, of course, refer to the Dominatrix -Concertina (book). Maybe you weren't submissive enough for them Alan . puts a slightly different spin on the topic title chris

John I would be the other claimant. I ride long distance and cross country unicycle, and play concertina, melodeon and harmonica, although not all at once.
