Chris Timson Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Have a shufty at this concertina on eBay. The Wheatstone ledgers describe it as a G duet 46 keys (not 48 as the vendor says). It looks like a 4 row anglo. Could it be a Wheatstone-made Jeffries duet? Chris

Could it be a Wheatstone-made Jeffries duet? Chris, No, that's an "A.G. Duet", "A.G." being the normal abbreviation of Anglo-German (Anglo to you or me) in the ledgers. Seeing that the Jeffries duet is based on the Anglo, it seems a reasonable description for Wheatstone's to use, though it didn't occur to me when Jim asked what an "A.G. Duet" might be, sometime ago. There's a thread about it here.
Chris Timson Posted May 8, 2007 Author Posted May 8, 2007 So I was right. Thanks, Stephen. Wonder what its home key is. If it was G I might have bid... Chris
