Reviews Asked Of The 'jackie' English Concertina

Dear forum.

 

Does anyone have experience with the 'Jackie' as sold by the concertinaconnection? I am contemplating of buying one, but I'd like to have opinions from owners.

I am a newbie on concertina's, my musical skills are above average. Currently I play the Guitar, Slide trombone and I blues harmonica. My musical interest would go from pop, to blues and jazz. But also the 'children tunes'. Folk is not my forte.

 

Any comment, both pos as con would be appreciated.

I, as a beginner, am not really qualified to review the Jackie. But I am useing one, and I am happy with it. The fact that it seems well made (no vacu-formed ends like the cheap German Anglo I started with, for instance) and the Concertina Connection guarentee to accept it in trade for a better instrument later convinced me that I was not risking too much when I bought it. And the customer service is excellent, someone there noticed a question I posted here. I hadn't yet contacted the Concertina Connection, and I received a message about my problem. I don't think you could match that kind fo service anywhere.
