danersen Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 I know absolutely nothing about this. That said, I find the fretwork interesting and attractive as well as distinctive. Such a shame that it is in its present condition.

Paul, Well last time somebody on eBay quoted that text the instrument was a Louis Lachenal, but this one looks like a George Jones alright. The bellows look typically Jones and the ends remind me of the (fancier) faux-amboyna one that I've got:
