mbn321 Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Im new to the forum so be patient with me. I was wondering if anyone can give me info on this concertina. I have been looking around and it seems to be a Lachenal anglo but I do not know how old it would be or what kind of a value to put on it, if I decided to sell it. Plus how would one go about selling an item like this. It has the Lachenal trademark on the right hand palm rail, also can you tell by the pics if it is mahogany or rose wood. Thanks
wes williams Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 Im new to the forum so be patient with me. Ok, but you've posted to completely the wrong place, which is why nobody has responded. I only check this forum area rarely, and I expect others do the same. Yes, its a Lachenal anglo. The trademark means that it was made roughly between 1880 and 1930. There will be numbers inside that will allow you to narrow that range. We can't give you a valuation, as it depends very much on condition and other factors, but its in the hundreds of pounds/dollars area, rather than tens or thousands. If you want to sell it, you can either post it on the Buy and Sell forum here ( and make a donation if you sell it) or try ebay.
