I'm going to be traveling to Europe this may, specifically Spain, Italy and a quick stop in Amsterdam. I'm new to the concertina, but I was wondering if maybe anyone knew about music shops, stores, or even where to start looking to buy a concertina in Italy? My best assumption is to hit the flea markets and do what I can, but if anyone has any advice, it'd be much appreciated!

Firstly - Hi Jesse - Welcome to Concertina.net

Could you give us an idea of what type of Concertina you are looking for, how much you're looking to pay, and where in the world you are located (in case there are suitable options on your doorstep)? This would make it a bit easier to answer your question.

Hi Jesse

I'm not sure which kind of concertina, or which source you are referring to but your plan could be a bit misguided if you really want to find the best beginner's instrument for a reasonable price. You would also want a source of that instrument to have a reputation and a quarantee.

There is a lot of information on this website about starter instruments and where to find them.

I was looking on the net and found a bunch of youtube accordions shots from Spain, where they were called ...Concertinas. Be aware!
