When I heard that I should save the bellows from rubbing, I tried to place an instrument's end on my knee, and I wasn't stable, so it kind of shifted and tilted by itself untill it ended up just like in the video. Stable, but uncombortable. And I didn't like assimmetric hands' position, been aware of the consequences. But it does add to the agility of the sound. Goram's handle ideas come to mind.

I guess it's early for me to experiment with this.

The right position is the position you feel comfortable with to play the music you like.

And I like the music you play! It has a great Irish feel to it, which I seldom hear from other EC players.

If the AC didn't exist the Irish would play the way like you do on the EC. And I can tell being half German, half French, born in Uruguay and lived most of my life in The Netherlands :-)

Yes indeed - Concertina Workshop album, about 1970 something (sigh)
Yes, I´ve got that one and I play it as well like that (the end of the tune for example).

I don't know what's "Dolmen" about it. The 2nd tune here (the minor key tune after the first 16 bars) is the Playford English Country Dance tune (c 1727), "Kelsterne Gardens." It's in Barnes. If it sounds a little off-balance ("Eastern Europe???"), it's because the playing here is not very accurate. There are wrong notes and mistimings. It should have an 8-bar section repeated , followed by a 6-bar section repeated.

I wouldn't be surprised if the opening tune also turned out to be from Playford, but I don't recognize it.

a video made by one of the folks at Old Songs last weekend. Me and the two fiddlers had just learned this tune, One Step to Denise McGee, at a Cajun fiddle workshop hosted by the Magnolia Sisters. We had just stepped outside to try it out on our own after the workshop... and there we got digitized. Zap!

How's the squeezebox coming, Leo?

Too slow and stagnant. Too much outside summertime stuff gets in the way. (maybe too much internet too)

Thanks

Awesome playing

His public profile page from YouTube:

http://www.youtube.com/clunktrip

says his screen name is clunktrip, from Azerbaijan, (a long way from Sweden) and he plays a Wheatstone model 22. Like here there is a way to send him personal message listed, or leave a comment.

I suspect he's from somewhere else, maybe a member in hiding here? I can assure you it isn't me.

Thanks

Enjoy something different. I belive it's an English.

From South America (Bolivia I think):

AGRUPACION FOLKLORICA PUKARA

Los de Pukara - Labios Mentirosos

los de pukara - por que me enamore de ti

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJ7-WE2SVQU

There are a lot more under "Pukara". I believe it's the bands name. I don't speak the language.
