Mark Evans
Happy Mothers Day! Women are the keepers of the light in this world and mothers give a light that will always guide their children. Thank you C. Net Mothers, for all of us! The chorus from a song I collected from Clint Howard (an early collaborator of Doc Watson) "There's a light in the window burnin' bright, An' it lights my pathway tonight. There's a light in the window burnin' bright. Yes, my mother has a light here tonight." Amen

To all the mothers who keep the light in the window burning, let's raise a toast, today, and for all time!

Mark Evans
Camille, Claude and I are off to the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston to hear Dominique sing a program of French Baroque music with viola da gamba, harpsicord and violin. My two children will be all "Gothed out" but are going to give her flowers at the end of the concert. That's pretty nice gift for a mom who assumes they have no use for her art. I shall of course weep as I always do when she sings. Just got back. My children were Goth angels, Dominique sang like an angel, Dan, Laura and John played beautifully. We went to our favorite deli back in the old neighborhood and came home to Milford the back way through charming towns in a gentle drizzel surrounded by Springs full glory. Dominique declared it her best Mothers Day ever. P.S. A fellow approached me at the concert and said. "You play concertina at John Stones don't you." I have arrived. No longer the tenor who doesn't sing opera anymore. There is a God! Edited May 15, 2006 by Mark Evans
Chris Timson
Got Mothers Day out of the way on 26th March over here. As Neil Innes so truly said:- There is nothing in the world quite like a mother,Except of course another mother. Chris
