Chris Timson Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 (edited) I've just noticed that I have moved into second position in the ranks of those who talk too much on this forum (though I'm still nearly 3000 behind Jim ...). However the reason I have achieved this apotheosis is not because I have posted more but that two of our senior members have stopped posting: Stephen and Helen. There have been occasional reports that Stephen has been spotted and is well, but I've not seen any reports of Helen. Is she alright? What are our two wandering children doing anyway? Alan Day Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 I have emailed both Helen and Stephen, with no reply Chris. I sent an Email to a friend of hers last night to see if she was OK. Stephen closed up his music business ,but from then on nothing. If I hear anything I will let you know. Al
Mark Evans Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 (edited) What are our two wandering children doing anyway? Chris I have wondered about this many times myself and like Al tired to contact them...silence. It's a relief to hear there have been Stephen sightings. They are both missed, very much. JimLucas Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Checking their Member information, Helen was last "active" on the Forum early on Dec. 31, 2005, though her last post was Nov. 25, 2005. So more than a month between her last post and when she last looked in on us, but did something happen New Year's Eve? Stephen's last post was Nov. 2, 2005, but he was last "active" on Feb. 21, 2006, 2½ months later, and "only" about 2½ months ago. I wonder whether the real explanation might be that these folks no longer have computers connected to the internet (can one actually live like that? ), with Stephen's Februrary look-in being done from an internet cafe or the like.
greenferry Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 I remember Mark Evans brought this up back at the end of January. I miss Helen's fluffy ears and whiskers.

Chris I've just done a bit of detective work and I see that Steven has made purchases on ebay up until a couple of days ago. Martyn
Rhomylly Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Helen!!!! Where did you go? I thought it'd been a while, didn't realize it'd been so long.
Alan Day Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 I have Emailed Helen on a different number I will let you know if I get a reply. I did not mention her fluffy ears and whiskers. Al
greenferry Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 (edited) Helen's address and phone number are on the Google! Rhomylly, for a minute there I thought you were Helen, only with perky ears and a shave. Arff !! Edited April 7, 2006 by greenferry
Guest Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 I also emailed Helen on an alternative email address; it didn't bounce and I'll let you know if I get an answer. Kind regards Morgana

Chris I've just done a bit of detective work and I see that Steven has made purchases on ebay up until a couple of days ago. Martyn I had an email from Stephen yesterday (the first since 31st December) - he's had computer problems, and is currently getting a new replacement machine up and running.
Chris Timson Posted April 9, 2006 Author Posted April 9, 2006 I had an email from Stephen yesterday (the first since 31st December) - he's had computer problems, and is currently getting a new replacement machine up and running. Thanks Wes, that's one accounted for. Anyone had any results from their attempts to contact Helen yet? Chris
Alan Day Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 I have decided to do a bit of detective work re Helen. She was last OK in March but nothing since. I will report back after sending out some Emails Al
Alan Day Posted April 14, 2006 Posted April 14, 2006 No news unfortunately. I emailed what I thought might be her church and she was not a member of the church I contacted. I also tried the Childrens department of Ohio as she is a social worker but no reply as yet. I may write to her neighbours to check for me. I know she had a lot of bad luck all at once.A tree fell on her house and she also had a flood which contaminated her basement, however I did hear from her a few months ago and she said she was OK,but Helen used to contact me almost daily so like you all I am rather concerned as to her being OK. If I get any news at all I will let you know. Al
