Dave Gray Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 I am selling my Edgley C/G 24b Anglo which I have owned from new for just over 1 year. The only reason for the sale is that I recently acquired a vintage Crabb and the money would come in handy to cover some of the cost of the purchase. It is a “Professional” model (Frank’s “top of the line” concertina) and has seven fold bellows, stainless steel metal ends, best quality hand made reeds, lace wood body and angled reed pan. The action is fast and the reeds respond very quickly. The 24 button model is well suited to playing Irish music. The layout is like a 20 button with the addition of two extra buttons on the end of each row to give the accidentals needed to play in other keys. It has the advantage of having both the lower and upper F# as well as the upper C# available both in both bellows directions. Chris Timson has the key layout posted on his site, to see it look here The buyer is responsible for shipping and insurance. 2% of the sale price will be donated to Cnet if the concertina is sold through this forum. For more information or for a test squeeze (I’m located near Portland, OR) contact me by sending an email via this forum. Dave Gray

I wish I cold afford another instrument right now . How much are you asking for it? -- Bill
Dave Gray Posted March 23, 2006 Author Posted March 23, 2006 Bill, yes it is a beautiful instrument, Frank did a great job (as usual). More importanly it is a joy to play, the bellows are just broken in nicely and it plays very fast. It is also fairly light at 2lb 13oz. I'm looking for offers around $1,500 including case. Based on Frank's last year pricing the new cost would be approx. $2,000 + case + customs brokerage charges. Dave
