Exciting news about this year's Catskills Irish Arts Week...Artistic Director Paul Keating reports that last year's full-time concertina staff is back: Gearoid O'hAllmhurain, Micheal O'Raghallaigh, Fr. Charlie Coen and Edel Fox. In addition Michael Rooney will be there for the week but teaching harp during the day. An exciting addition this year is that concertina legend Chris Droney will be present. "Chris won't be teaching per se but will have that exhalted status that I give to the senior Master musicians for a more relaxed schedule and highlight them in concerts and special sessions and a Master class lecture," says Paul Keating.
