I have a 30 button C/G Tedrow for sale. An unfortunate shop accident has ended my playing days. This concertina is a year old, is in excellent shape. I can provide pictures if you are interested or click on Bob Tedrow's web site for pictures. If you are a learner like I was, I will include Neall Vallely's new DC ROM Concertina tutorial. $1,500 US postage negotiable.

How sad. I'm sure I speak for the whole community in expressing sympathy. To suddenly lose ones ability to play music would be enough of a tragedy, not even considering what else you must have lost.

Good luck.

Erlier this year I suffered a mild stroke, and there was a few weeks when I too thought I might never play again, and I was seriously considering selling my instruments. As it turned out I have made nearly a full recovery, but I know how I felt then and how you must feel now. I am truly sorry.

I also am very sorry to hear about your accident.

I think what all of us are feeling is the hope that maybe you could still play in the future. Only you know if this would be possible.

The best to you.

I concur with the notes of sympathy. Hang in there. I have a paraplegic uncle-in-law who has lived in either a wheelchair or in bed for at least 60 years, and his point of view is that one must deal with life's challenges on a daily basis--just like working a job.

A note of hope (hopefully): I once gave a tabor pipe (3-holed pennywhistle played with one hand, with an octave-and-a-half range) to a one-armed former saxophone player. I also showed him how to play it. He was very thankful.
