martyn Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 (edited) Regarding vintage anglo on ebay 7382952131. On the inside you will see the name A.Vallis and Arthur written. I have just carried out a Google search on the name and have either made a fascinating discovery or it might just be pure coincidence . Look HERE If you scroll down the list you will find an Arthur Vallis (a builder from Headington). You will also see William Kimber's name - also a builder. The chances are they knew each other and Kimber might have even played a few tunes on Arthurs anglo. But of course only if it is the same Arthur Vallis. Martyn PS Could someone please do a link for me to the ebay item - as I've tried and failed - Thanks. Edited January 21, 2006 by martyn

Paul Read Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 There seems to be a bit of a link problem on ebay at present. I spotted the one mentioned above then couldn't find it again. This one also seems to have a problem: http://cgi.ebay.com/Outstanding-Restored-L...1QQcmdZViewItem It isn't showing up on the UK site or as newly listed on the US site. Perhaps it's just a short-term software problem. Nice concertinas though!
Paul Read Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 I've bought this instrument so I'll let you know what I find when it arrives. Does anybody have any information on A Vallis and the morris?
