accordionmagic Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 Hi all, I have now for sale the very first Lachenal MIDI conversion that was the prototype for all of the Whiteley MIDI concertina's that followed. Now labelled E48+ No.1 it was originally Lachenal tutor 33311 with bone keys and four fold bellows restored as an acoustic instrument. It was first converted to a MIDI english, then spent a while as an experimental Anglo/English and was demonstrated at Swaledale earlier this year. Since then it has been returned to English only and fitted with a brand new set of my own traditionally made 5 fold bellows and latest version electronics. The ends are ebonised and it now sports metal buttons. MIDI-wise it is single voice with volume control, octave control over 4 octaves, reverb ON/OFF, chorus ON/OFF, All notes off, RESET and selection of 48 MIDI sounds using the concertina buttons. The bellows are used as per an acoustic instrument to vary the volume/expression. To see another of my almost identical concertinas in action follow this link..MIDI video I am offering the concertina and it's associated power supply and cables with a Roland RA95 expander and Fender amplifier. The RA95 comes with it's own power supply and foot pedal controls and provides automatic accompaniment as well as providing hundreds of superb selectable MIDI sounds. I will advertise here for one week and then it's off to ebay. Make me a decent offer and maybe it could be yours before Christmas! Cheers Roy Whiteley.
