Lester Bailey Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 (edited) All right so I'm a sad techy sort of guy, but now we have image upload we can all see what each other looks like, well at least for those who are brave enough to post a picture. ps You can now see I am slightly more cute than my avatar!! Chris Timson Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 (edited) OK, I'm game, since there's a picture already to hand. There have been a few changes since this photo was taken. Anne has let her hair go gracefully grey, while I have lost about 30 lb. I'm playing my Dipper baritone, while Anne is holding her Wheatstone 1850's English. RoyJanik Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 Fair enough. I was going to post one of the pictures of me from the Noel Hill concertina school, but I wasn't really happy with any of those. So here's me looking suave and sad in front of the webcam.
Henk van Aalten Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 (edited) Hi concertinists, To please Paul, I have added a modest photo, featuring (in order of importance) my grandson, trying to destroy my old concertina and me more or less looking for notes. This old concertina has now more or less been eaten by my grandson. By the way: the avatar shows my granddaughter, playing harmonica. In a few years I will persuade her to try a concertina. stuart estell Posted August 20, 2003 Posted August 20, 2003 (edited) On Morris days I quite often look like this. Amounts of make-up vary! I'm pretending to play my Norman C/G in this photo. Edited August 20, 2003 by stuart estell
rabennett Posted August 21, 2003 Posted August 21, 2003 OK, here I am NOT playing the concertina. (To the joy of concertina lovers everywhere)
Mark Stayton Posted August 21, 2003 Posted August 21, 2003 Here I am at this year's Midwest NHICS. Note the conspicuous absence of a concertina (they're Northumbrian smallpipes). That's Noel on the left, wondering why I'm not practicing... Photo courtesy of Roy Janik. Thanks Roy!
bellowbelle Posted August 21, 2003 Posted August 21, 2003 Here's me in a sort of altered, squished-box form. There's one on my website's main page that is a bit...uh, more like me. My father took the original photo of me at my daughter's high school graduation party this past summer. I didn't really like the original, but it was fun to twist it up like this!
David Barnert Posted August 22, 2003 Posted August 22, 2003 (edited) Here's me at the Squeeze-In a couple years ago, with parts of my Wheatstone Hayden Duet. Photo by David Cornell, with some touch-up by me. Edited August 24, 2003 by David Barnert
squeezer Posted August 23, 2003 Posted August 23, 2003 Hmmm. A whole new dimension to Concertina.Net. Illusions crushed and so on. If this actually works this will be me, Jim Besser, jamming before the Glen Echo contra dance in suburban Washington DC recently.
JimLucas Posted August 24, 2003 Posted August 24, 2003 I wrote: I'll say that I'm "abnormal", and proud of it. :-) Chris T. responded: Can we have a picture to back up that statement? I say: OK!
Chris Timson Posted August 24, 2003 Posted August 24, 2003 Yes, Jim, that's just as I remember you from the last time we met. Chris
John Wild Posted August 24, 2003 Posted August 24, 2003 This was surreptitiously snapped 4 years ago. there is a little less hair on my head now, and the beard is a bit greyer, but hopefully I am still recognisable. John Wild
Richard Morse Posted August 24, 2003 Posted August 24, 2003 And here's one of me and my Hayden.... Right.... forgot the attachment....
Henk van Aalten Posted August 25, 2003 Posted August 25, 2003 I'll say that I'm "abnormal", and proud of it. :-) Looks as if this picture was taken "down under" and that's quite normal! Henk
JimLucas Posted August 25, 2003 Posted August 25, 2003 Ah, so the Morse Hayden is a reality! (Once again, the lack of the tree structure makes it harder to understand what this quip is in response to. Multiple posts intervened between Rich's post/picture and this one. And one of those was in response to my own post/picture, which was similarly separated.)
Christian Husmann Posted August 25, 2003 Posted August 25, 2003 Hello folks, I may not post very often here, but here´s as well an image. A bit old, but ... greetings Christian
