gcoover Posted March 11 Posted March 11 (edited) Just a last-minute reminder about the Old Pal Concertina Weekend coming up in 2-1/2 weeks... For the last 20+ years it has been part of the Palestine Old Time Music and Dulcimer Festival held March 26-28 in Palestine, East Texas (about 100 miles southeast of Dallas). www.oldpalmusic.com Always a good time to play music with other players, learn new things, hear great old time music, eat too much Texas BBQ, etc. This year I'll be teaching Harmonic Style Anglo plus English Session Tunes, and Dan Worrall will be teaching Irish style, Irish Session Tunes, and maybe even some Kimber-style Anglo. Others are welcome to do workshops or sessions too - it's a relaxed and fun atmosphere for all, from beginner to expert. All types of concertina are welcome - over the years we've seen just about everything! It's also a great opportunity to meet other players and try out different instruments. And... every Rollston Press concertina book will be available and on sale at the festival for a mere $15 each. www.rollstonpress.com Hope to see some of you there! Gary Edited March 12 by gcoover 4
