Stagi Hayden duet for sale.. see attached link. It was the instrument I used to explore the Hayden System and as such offers a very inexpensive way to have a look at this chromatic and remarkably intuitive system. The instrument is a Stagi.. so it is what it is.. but the body is in good condition with just a couple of small marks. It plays reasonably well but a few notes could do with with a bit of a tuning and the price reflects this.. Includes a hard case. Just £299 plus delivery to UK.

That sounds like a good deal. I had an identical one for a short time, replaced it with a Peacock, and easily sold mine for $900.  New they are now $2000!  As you say, it is what it is as far as concertinas go. However, the same instrument sounds great to me in this player's hands:

Sold it very quickly on ebay. Deliberately priced it low as I know Red Cow and others charge a lot to tune. Will be glad to know it’s being explored.

I bought it and I have to say that it's a lovely thing. Much nicer than any Stagi I've tried previously. I'm struggling to put it down when I get the spare time. I'm tempted to leave the slightly out of tune notes as they are so I can break through the sound of the fiddles (it is loud enough though).
