Christer Slaaen Posted January 28 Posted January 28 For sale is my Wheatstone 48-button Crane (Triumph) Duet concertina, serial number 34861. Provenance: acquired from the Salvation Army in Norway. Based on the serial number this is generally thought to date from around the turn of the 20th century (c. 1900). Condition / playability: – Airtight bellows and good response – Lovely tone; plays strongly – Original Wheatstone case with label – Normal cosmetic wear consistent with age Important disclosure: – Two buttons are missing (see photos). I’m not a concertina player myself. I received this instrument as a gift while working for the Salvation Army in Oslo, Norway. My description is therefore not based on concertina-specific playing technique, but I am a professional musician and have a solid general understanding of instruments and mechanical condition. The concertina has a lovely tone and good response to my ear, and the bellows appear airtight. It is sold as-is, with the details shown and described. Location: Norway (near Oslo). Shipping: happy to ship worldwide; will be double boxed. Buyer pays shipping and any import duties/taxes. Payment: PayPal Asking price: £1,500 (or highest offer). Please PM with any questions; I’m happy to provide additional photos/video.
