I'm surprised that nobody has commented on changes in format on C.net, especially when it comes to making posts, but I haven't seen an announcement from "the management".

Has it really changed, or is it just that my computer is doing strange things ?

No, you are right, Stephen - but isn't it just the "cosmetics" - the GUI of the Make-post section that has changed (buttons replaced by a "tool bar" of icons), not the functionality? (Probably answering my own question, since I am obviously using it now ;) ). Seems slightly faster, but that's just speculation.

Well the upgrade explains why the board was unavailable for a short time a couple of days ago. It certainly looks very nice :D

I have no idea, but I presume Paul or the Invision guys he paid to upgrade us a while back did something. A few features (fast reply) no longer work for me, but it is time I updated my web browser.

Hmm, I was going to put a smiley there, but they don't work for me either. [imagine smiley here]

Coo! You know, until I read that this, I didn't know there had been a change.
  • I

  • like

  • the

  • bullet points.

All we need now is an indent button

All I'd noticed, until this thread, is that we've lost the concertina.net logo at the top, and gained an Invision PowerBoard one ...

I'm sure the sponsors will be back. Custom hacks to web boards take a few days to be replicated. (I'm administrating another Invisionboard and those tweaks can be a PITA after an upgrade!)

And on my computer every thread is now marked as having new messages, which is a minor irritant.

All we need now is for the c.net logo to appear instead of the invision one in my "favourites" folder ...

Eh? Wazzat? A feature of C.net I don't know about? A search in the Help produced no hits on the word in either the British or American spelling.

That's because it's a feature of my internet browser, Jim ;) .

Our admin guys would have to change the favicon.ico from the Invisionboard one to a C.Net one.

Like the one I just made up: (Feel free to use it, guys!)

Cool -- thanks! Another one of the zillion little details I just never got around to doing for the site... hope you don't mind that I added it as the site default?

That's what I made it for. It's only working on the main site though, not on the forums. I think you need to replace Invisionboard's favicon.ico with your new one somewhere in the /forums directory, if I remember correctly from another forum where I managed to change the default icon.

Edit:

Ah yes, this is the culprit: http://www.concertina.net/forums/favicon.ico - just delete it or replace it.
