Matt Heumann Posted August 24, 2025 Posted August 24, 2025 (edited) Because our journey to the Squeeze-In involves 7 different stops during our 6 day round-trip that means loading and unloading 14 times which (with a 2 suitcases, repair kit case, 2 concertina suitcases: each holds 2, fleece, pillow, & food box) is a royal pain in the arse to rearrange & repack the vehicle each time. Now we will only have my wife's suitcase, food box, & the new BIG BOX to put in car/truck. At NESI, I'm teaching 3 workshops on 3 different floors, plus the pub sing in another building and random playing sessions on 4 different floors, which with multiple concertinas is also very difficult using multiple cases. My wife laughs at it, but agrees it’s much simpler. By the way, this unused military surplus Pelican-Hardigg footlocker was only $30 more than a standard one concertina Storm Case. And yes, it does float. Edited August 24, 2025 by Matthew Heumann text edit 1
David Colpitts Posted August 24, 2025 Posted August 24, 2025 Can't wait to see it, Matt. Is it also the right height to sit on at a session?
Matt Heumann Posted August 24, 2025 Author Posted August 24, 2025 About 2" higher than most chair seats, but quite doable.
