Interesting but are the note values arbitrary?  Looks like a McCann ( sp ) duet.  I could work a JD into that.

If you blow the picture up you see that the keys are labeled as a standard typewriter (QWERT on the left, YUIOP on the right*), so it’s certainly not designed primarily as a concertina analogue. I guess you could assign any notes to any keys.

* I suppose you could say that this gadget is to a typewriter keyboard as a 1-row anglo is to a harmonica.

I think these digital instruments are very cool, but for the life of me, I can't get my fingers and brain to coordinate on them in a flat tabletop configuration. My son downloaded Michael's EnglitinaXL for me, and I can't plat the darn thing to save my soul.......my spatial orientation "wetware" just can't fathom it. Years ago, I played one set up with palms facing each other like a real concertina with no problem, but side by side, thumb to thumb...........really messes with my mind. since I don't watch my fingers when i play, even looking at the touchpad instruments as I play doesn't comprehend.

isn't the "Heumann" brain an amazing puzzle!

Is this really a custom keyboard for a musical instrument or simply a split alphanumeric coputer keyboard of which there are many (such as PERIBOARD-624 Wireless Ergonomic Split Keyboard with Adjustable Tilt Angle - Perixx USA which I use)?

See my previous post (3 above this one). It is a standard computer keyboard split in half, just as an anglo concertina is a harmonica split in half.
