Matt Heumann Posted July 30, 2025 Posted July 30, 2025 (edited) I originally sent these to Roger Hare, but thought others might enjoy them. Only several hundred more to be posted in the future, hopefully in pdf as well. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/w6pc9npi8n9sncapzqtnl/ANufggPmkEGZZ-NpxVumUMs?rlkey=ctgpfqgpnxizqjwi28an2xw9h&st=okpq4b69&dl=0 If anyone wants a pdf or mp3 file just PM me! Excellent! Thank you very much! I think I can already see the way this may be heading... Roger Edited July 31, 2025 by Roger Hare
Roger Hare Posted July 30, 2025 Posted July 30, 2025 (edited) I was far too busy to do anything with this today, so I went ahead and did it anyway. I've now a 'rough-and-ready' ABC version of 38 of these tunes (one didn't download). Here's an example: %%measurenb 0 %%notespacingfactor 1 X:7 T:Heumann's Compliments to J. I did this by importing the musicxml files into Michael Eskin's program, and saving the resultant ABC to a separate file. There were a few 'artefacts' in the ABC code produced by the musicxml which I hand-edited to (my version of) correctness. The above is a pretty typical example of what I'm seeing. I did change the MIDI instrument to Tango Accordion. I do hope I got it more-or-less right...🙂 Just for ducks, I then imported the whole thing back into Michael's program and created a website for all 38 tunes... I've attached a score and a MIDI file... ComplimentsToJamesScottSkinner.pdf ComplimentsToJamesScottSkinner.mid Edited July 30, 2025 by Roger Hare
