Josh in Hartford Posted June 14 Posted June 14 (edited) I was sitting in my backyard practicing when I looked up and inspiration struck: I had an old tin watering can with a hole in the bottom and it looked to be close in diameter to my concertina's soft case. I cut the bottom off and it turned out to be a perfect fit. So I cut off the spout, smoothed out the rough edges with an angle grinder, and secured the soft case with a bit of hot glue (I'll put sturdier glue if I decide I like this arrangement). Now I have a lightweight, form-fitting hard case that will protect my concertina from bumps. The watering cans run about $20 at the hardware store, so it's a cheaper solution than ordering a proper hard case. Edited June 14 by Josh in Hartford 2
SIMON GABRIELOW Posted June 16 Posted June 16 Oh how original and amusing and very eccentric - why don't you go into production? All those folk who have old watering can or buckets could have them converted in a similar way; and then play 'in a country garden' at the same time?.😄 1
