Merci 😉 Edited June 8, 2025 by Accordionne
Matt Heumann Posted June 8, 2025 Posted June 8, 2025 (edited) For English speakers Accordionne asked: Hello community, Are there any quality concertinas for sale in our country? I've already contacted Frank Edgley. Aside from Mr. Edgley, anyone with experience could guide me without having to spend a mortgage on a good concertina...lol. Either a 30-note Anglo or a 48-note English. Instruments in excellent condition. Thanks Edited June 8, 2025 by Matthew Heumann reformat 1

Parker135 Posted June 10, 2025 Posted June 10, 2025 I'm really happy with my Edgley Heritage. And Frank is great to deal with and/or to just talk concertinas. 1

4to5to6 Posted July 20, 2025 Posted July 20, 2025 (edited) You can't go wrong with Laurent Jarry. My gold ended piccolo came from him and a friend purchased her 48 button tenor treble from him. No problems at all. Highly recommended. . Edited July 20, 2025 by 4to5to6

4to5to6 Posted July 20, 2025 Posted July 20, 2025 (edited) Laurent Jarry in Montreuil, France laboitedaccordeon.fr One of my secret go to search places. Accordion specialist but he usually has some of the most amazing top tier concertinas available. I’m quite sure that my wonderful gold ended piccolo Aeola 28226 that came from him unrestored on consignment from a famous circus family is the only one in existence. And the advantage of getting a French instrument is that they are commonly tuned to A=435, French Continental pitch (versus A=452 High Philharmonic pitch) so you only have to slightly touch the tip of the reed tongue with the file to get to modern A=440 which doesn’t affect the voicing. Quick and easy with minimal play in afterwards. . Edited July 20, 2025 by 4to5to6 1
Matt Heumann Posted July 20, 2025 Posted July 20, 2025 Laurent Jarry's website site says he's retiring in September, everything being sold off.
