Kjmacd Posted June 3 Posted June 3 Hello I am new to concertina playing and am looking for a reasonable concertina for playing Irish music. I am in New Zealand but will consider an instrument from overseas also. I experienced the joy of a Morse Ceili recently, but otherwise have only played a Scarletti which is not enjoyable.
Clive Williams Posted June 3 Posted June 3 (edited) Not selling (sorry) but I'm a fairly new player too. If you're looking to play irish, you'll likely want a C/G (oddly that's what most Irish players use, so that's what most of the tuition seems to be in) and likely 30 key. The 26 key ones I've seen seem to be missing a crucial note or two. The C# for when you want to play in D, for example. Or the low F for if you want to play in C with chords. Good luck!
