Don Taylor Posted May 31 Posted May 31 In today's Guardian newspaper: https://www.theguardian.com/travel/2025/may/31/irish-traditional-music-county-clare-ireland-musical-sessions
Peter Laban Posted May 31 Posted May 31 (edited) I read this early this morning. It's a half decent write up with a few forgivable factual glitches, if you want to pick nits. There may be mixed feelings about publicity, I know several people going to one of the sessions described and I am not sure they would want to be part of the tourist trail. It changes the whole dynamic of a night if visitors start dropping in, in numbers. That said, it was Fleadh Nua in Ennis this week with loads of visitors, free concerts and organised sessions and what have you. I dipped into some of it during the week. There was some nice concertina playing around. Edited May 31 by Peter Laban 2
aeolina Posted June 1 Posted June 1 By coincidence I stopped off in Ennis yesterday en route to meet family. Bought a coffee, opened my phone and saw the Guardian article. I had just enough time to make some essential purposes from the music shop! 2

aeolina Posted June 4 Posted June 4 Excellent photographs. I'm now deep into Sundays at Lena's on the Caledonian at every spare moment.
