John Pearse Posted May 28, 2025 Posted May 28, 2025 Hello one and all, It's that time in life when the things I no longer use need to go. I'm too old now to ever do anything with the Concordeon (see my post 2007 in Concertina History) so I am wondering if anyone here would like to make an offer for it. I paid £495 for it back in 2007, but, as a non-playing one off instrument - albeit with perhaps some historical interest, it's value is whatever it will fetch. I have searched the internet to see if I can locate Peter, the grandson of the builder (Herbert Greene) in the USA but without success, as I feel it would be appropriate to return it to the family. If it is not sold here I will put it the next musical instruments sale at my local auction house, TW Gaze, in DIss. It weighs 22 Lbs plus its own box so the cost of the carrier will need to be added to the price. All the best, John.
wes williams Posted May 29, 2025 Posted May 29, 2025 Thanks Alex, John - Peter Green's email was peterbgreen@gmail.com . Did you try that?
John Pearse Posted May 29, 2025 Author Posted May 29, 2025 Thanks Wes, Previous emails to Peter were on an old computer - long gone. I'll give it a try. John
