Here is some simple ABC (from a different source, and 'tidied-up' a little by me). The transcription does not appear on the main VMP web page, but it has a VMP-style 'catalogue number', and the transcribers are (or have been) heavy contributors to other VMP transcriptions: %%MIDI program 23 %%measurenb 0 %%notespacingfactor 1 X:11010 T:Spaniard, The %A lightly edited tune from Thompson's Compleat Collection..., vol. 4: http://trillian.mit.edu/~jc/music/book/ %Rudimentary accompaniment chords generated by ABCMus, setting 0. It's part of my own small efforts to put something back, in return for all the help and advice I've had from members of this community over the last ~10 years. There's also an ulterior motive - this sort of thing gives me the opportunity to road-test my current project - concatenating a load of 'legacy' ABC files into one humungous ABC file, and tweaking them so that the 'database' is amenable to being queried in a generic way to spit out all versions of a particular tune (and other things). This time, the only version which was coughed up by the 'database' was the one from Thompson Vol. 4... Edited May 22, 2025 by Roger Hare
