I just clicked the App Store button under the video of me in the Hayden section and got this: App Not Available This app is currently not available in your country or region. Then I tried searching the App Store for Hayden Concertina and got nothing. @Michael Eskin, are you aware of this? Yes, slowly but surely, my less popular apps are getting pulled from the iTunes App store because I haven't updated them in 4 or 5 years. Eventually, they will probably all disappear and/or stop working on later devices and iOS versions and I have no plans to update them. I will probably completely exit the iOS app business in a year or so as new versions of iOS come out an probably break things. I just don't have the energy or enthusiasm to update them to jump through all of Apple's latest review hoops or update my Mac to the latest Mac OS for only purpose or being able to run the latest version of XCode to rebuild them. All of them are written in Objective C, they've really moved on to Swift, and I have zero enthusiasm to re-write them. They served their purpose, hundreds of thousands of people got a lot of inexpensive enjoyment out of them, and I did fine financially selling them for now nearly 15 years. The app is still working fine, even if new people can’t download it. When it stops working I’ll shed a tear and move on.
Michael Eskin Posted May 6 Posted May 6 (edited) Perhaps someone might be interested in buying the source code for all of them from me and take on updating them and re-releasing them. I can probably do that for all the non-Hohner branded apps, but even the Hohner apps could be "de-badged" with new generic artwork and re-released with a different name. Anyway, if you're an professional iOS developer with apps on the App Store and might be interested in this, contact me. Alternatively, I could continue to sell them under my branding, someone else could maintain them and we can do a revenue split. I have had this kind of arrangement for the Android versions with a friend for over a decade. This would include all the apps at: https://appcordions.com Edited May 6 by Michael Eskin
David Colpitts Posted May 6 Posted May 6 @Michael Eskin I, too, thank you for your effort and fair prices over the years. Your apps have all worked as promised, and I have learned a lot while using them. As David B. said, I'll run them 'til I can't. I hope some developer(s) take you up on that offer.
