greyvensteyn.johan Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Hi Everyone, This is not my thing at all, as I have NO knowledge on anything regarding any musical instruments…. I just need to know Brand, Age and Value…? Thanks, Johan
Jody Kruskal Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Inexpensive German or Italian 20 button Anglo concertina, my guess is it's from the 1930 to 1950 range. Clearly, it was loved, as the paint is wearing off around the buttons.
Stephen Chambers Posted April 21 Posted April 21 (edited) Concertone is a "make" - though the instruments (mostly diatonic accordions) were made by various firms over the years, for the American mail-order sellers Montgomery Ward. The metalwork tells me it was made at Klingenthal, Saxony, in East German times, possibly by Scholer. They were cheap when they were new and (unless it's in perfect playing condition - which is very unlkely) sell for very little today. Edited April 22 by Stephen Chambers
SIMON GABRIELOW Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Yes looks like the Kligenthal harmonica works type. My first concertina was similar except it had wooden casing, ( used it for years).. usually in two key ranges with choice of a natural and sharp note. I once gave a red one similar to this design to someone years back.
