CONCERTINA IS NOW SOLD

This was the crown jewel of an older gentleman’s collection of English concertinas and I have been tasked with finding it a new owner. It is a special order model 20A baritone built in 1919 according to the Wheatstone ledgers. It is fairly unique with its 58 keys (plus air button) going down to low F below the bass clef.

The condition is not perfect but has no serious issues. It was internally restored at some point in the past 20 years (I can’t say by whom) and plays very well. The amboyna ends have some small chipped areas as seen and a couple of felt bushings are deteriorated. There is also some patina on the brass parts and the original leather pieces are showing their age. That said, the tone of this concertina is excellent, the action is smooth and light, and the original 8-fold bellows are supple and airtight.

The original Wheatstone case is included. The leather strap is starting to split but still functions. I am asking $5000 USD / £3800 GBP but am open to offers. I am US based but have plenty of experience shipping overseas, although a domestic sale would be preferred. Thanks, Justin
