For a while now, I've been interested in tunes written by the late Greg Trice. A tunebook compiled by his friends, with the accompanying recording, is a treasure. I particularly like this hornpipe, Custard & Chips. Played on a 30 button Jeffries G/D Anglo.

I've had this tune in my tune book for several years. Brings back fond memories of Ken from Preston, a fellow student at Lanchester Polytechnic in the late 1960s who regularly put custard on his cabbage, and gravy on his sponge pudding..🙂

Thanks for that; the Peter Dunk transcription is a bit of an improvement.

 

Custard on cabbage? I don't know about that....
