Wheatstoner Posted January 7 Posted January 7 (edited) I am selling my Model 18 Wheatstone concertina. It is a 56-key extended treble English System Aeola, raised ebony ends, metal buttons, steel reeds, riveted action, and six fold bellows. This is an excellent instrument from Wheatstone’s “Golden Age” (1923). This instrument is in great playing condition and has a distinctive Wheatstone sound. It has been serviced at the Button Box since 2009. The valves, pads, springs and bushing have been replaced. The bellows have been patched and new thumbs straps have been installed. The fretwork is intact and although there is a small crack repair. There is typical wear of a concertina of this age. I have removed the reeds from the highest note and use that as release valve. I have the reeds if you would want to reinstall them. I am the second owner of this lovely instrument and am moving to a tenor-treble. I have the original case but it is poor shape but is repairable. I would prefer to sell within the US or Canada. Asking $3,900 Edited January 9 by Wheatstoner Clarity
